Maria Mary Jane Shoe

I have been thinking for a while about doing ‘Feature Friday’. That is to say that every Friday I will devote my blog post to a new site I have discovered that are making and selling beautiful items. So the first in this series has to be Vevian. Vevian specialises in luxury handmade children’s shoes. These shoes would be perfect for any special occasion. A bridesmaid’s or page boy’s outfit, to complete a christening gown or simply for a birthday party.

Each pair of shoes comes in its own beautifully lined wooden box, so once they have been worn they can be kept in this box as a keepsake. I love the idea of them being passed on through generations. It also means they would make a perfect gift for any child. I particularly loved the Mary Jane’s, the Bobby bootie and the George.

Daisy was lucky enough to receive a pair of these magnificent shoes through their bespoke service and what a special process this was. Vevian sent samples of the different colours and textures of leather available and Daisy was able to choose which colour she wanted. She also kept Daisy updated on the making of the shoes, which Daisy loved.

Here is Daisy’s reaction to receiving them and seeing how perfect the final result was.

These really are stunningly well made shoes. Daisy’s ninth birthday is coming up and she has already decided that she will be wearing these. They have been worn to quite a few special events and lots of comments were received on how beautiful they were. Daisy was very proud and loved telling the story of how she had helped make them.
