Muddy puddles…

With all the wet weather we are having I feel we must talk about Wellington boots. My two live in theirs.  It’s a standing joke among my friends that whatever outfit they have on they will always have Wellies on their feet. Daisy even wears her pink (it had to be done) ones with all her pretty dresses. Her beautiful Mary Janes stay immaculate in the cupboard whilst her Wellies get a beating. Here they are in action:

The ones she is wearing above are from M&S. They come in several different colours, we have had the red and yellow version too and all are beautiful, but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of sizes left.

We have, however, had several other pairs of Wellies over the years, some that have been loved and lost and some that just keep giving and giving.

These John Lewis navy ones were a hit with the kids. They are a good height, both could wear them and they wore well.  They also come in red and khaki, which I also love.

I think navy Wellingtons always look chic as do yellow and red. We had these Mothercare ones in yellow, which they no longer seem to do, but I love this navy and red version. Simple and again gender neutral which is always a plus for me. le9716_1

Finally the crème de la crème… The Aigle Lolly Pop Wellington Boot. I love these wellies. They are by far my favourite. They last ages and have not worn on the bottom or ripped at the sides (which others have). We live in the hills and so therefore go for lots of walks, but these have withstood all the kids have thrown at them (think bike and scooting riding, wall climbing and water wading). Daisy has had hers for over  a year! They come in a variety of colours and I love them all but predictably the navy and white are my favourite. They are more expensive but I think they are definitely worth the investment.
