Christmas Eve box…

The Christmas Eve traditions began when I was a little girl. I remember the day so well. We would always watch ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ and in the evening we would have a gorgeous bubble bath and then my brother and I would came downstairs to new pyjamas and a hot chocolate. I loved it! Honestly it made me so happy that I would look pretty (hah) in my new nightwear for Father Christmas. I remember we would settle down together and watch Jim’ll Fix It (and who remembers Telly Addicts?) and then I would go upstairs and sit on my window sill to see if I could spot Santa going by on his sleigh. When Daisy was born this tradition continued. Father Christmas brings a Christmas box (their special one every year) filled with Christmas Eve goodies.  Different things have been included over the years, a new Christmas book (all our Christmas book choices are here and here), a new nightie/pyjamas, some reindeer food, a letter off Father Christmas, a mug, some hot chocolate, a Christmas movie, a plate for Father Christmas and Rudolph, biscuit cutters and a christmas tree decoration (there is always one each of these and they love to see the ones from previous christmas’ when we get all our decorations out to decorate the tree).

This year I have bought these pyjamas for Daisy and Bobby to send to Father Christmas. In the past we have always loved La Coqueta but neither of my two fit in them any more which breaks my heart.

Below I have put some of the ideas that have been included in our boxes over the years.
