1. The Day The Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt

This book is so good and teaches colour in a fun way. Little Duncan just wants to colour in. But when he opens his box of crayons, he only finds letters, all saying the same thing: We quit! This is a lovely imaginative book with illustrations that perfectly accompany it. This book is fabulous for children and adults alike, it’s funny and well thought out. Get a copy quick, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

2. This Is Not My Hat by Jon Klassen

We all love this book. It’s about a small fish who steals a hat from a much larger fish. He is so pleased with himself, boasting that he will get away with it, but that’s not to be. The small fish swims through blackened ocean happily talking to himself about how big fish will never know what happened, however, big fish is swimming behind getting closer and closer. It’s educational as it’s teaching children not to take something that isn’t theirs as they will always get caught! Beautifully written and perfectly illustrated.
