We’ve done the kids swim wear, now to think about us ladies. Today I’m going to focus on swimsuits. I think there is a real divide in what people prefer. As I am getting older and since having the children I am definitely seeing the benefits of a swimsuit over a bikini. More flattering and practical when having to be constantly on the move with the kids, bending over collecting shells or making sand castles. However, I do still love a bikini. I love that my tummy gets a tan instead of being pasty white! I also have more choice. I have big boobs and unfortunately in swimsuits I can basically only have the under wired versions. Whereas with bikini’s I can choose different styles. These days when packing I will include both bikinis and swimsuits and wear which ever I feel is best for that day. The above swimsuit I love. I think it is also fabulous in navy and black. I love this one, this one and this one from Marks and Spencer’s. I love this one from Accessorize, this one, this one and this one from Boden, this one, this one, this one and I’m actually loving this one (in navy) from Next. This one is beautiful from J Crew as is this one ( in red) I’m thinking full on Baywatch babe. I love this one from Topshop and finally I’ll leave you with this magnificence from Dolce and Gabbana.

P.S; Some tips when swimwear shopping

  • Don’t look at the size, just buy the size that hides your lumps and bumps the best!
  • Shave and exfoliate beforehand, trust me you’ll feel better when trying them on!
